Il Trombone Basso è uno strumento sorprendentemente ricco di colori e di possibilità. Il suo timbro infatti può andare da un fortissimo estremo e molto metallico ad un pianissimo dolce e vellutato. La tecnica strumentale poi, offre una grande varietà di effetti caratteristici e di sordine. Questa “Suite” è nata proprio per dare spazio alla potenzialità di questo strumento. Nei tre movimenti, chiaramente distinti nel loro stile, l’immediatezza delle melodie, l’ampiezza del registro e la novità degli effetti rivelano in modo completo la personalità dello strumento e dell’esecutore e sanno catturare e gratificare l’attenzione degli ascoltatori.

The Bass Trombone is a surprisingly rich instrument of colors and possibilities.In fact, its timbre can range from a very metallic and extreme ff to a sweet and velvety pp.The instrumental technique also offers a great variety of characteristics and muted effects.This “Suite” was conceived to give the Bass Trombone an opportunity to demonstrate its potential.In the three movements, clearly distinct in their style, the immediacy of the melodies, the width of the register and the novelty of the effects fully reveal the personality of the instrument and the player and are able to capture and gratify the attention of the listeners.
